2.1 Account Data

• Email address (required for account creation)
• Display name (optional)
• Hashed password (we never store plaintext passwords)
• Account tier (Free / Pro / Analyst)
• Account creation and last-login timestamps

2.2 Usage Data

• Stock symbols and assets you analyze
• Analysis history and feature usage
• PineScript code submitted for analysis (stored only if you explicitly save it)
• Watchlist and alert preferences
• Service usage metrics for quota management

2.3 Technical Data

• IP address (used for security and abuse prevention)
• Browser type and version
• Device type
• Request logs retained for a limited period for security and operational purposes

2.4 Payment Data

Payment processing is handled entirely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or any raw payment data. We receive only subscription status and billing event notifications.

• To provide and operate the Service
• To authenticate your account and maintain security
• To process subscription billing and manage quota
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing alerts)
• To improve AI model quality and platform features
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the Service:

• AI infrastructure providers: Analysis prompts are processed by third-party AI services. Prompts include the asset you are analyzing and relevant market context. Do not include personal identifying information in analysis inputs.
• Payment providers: Subscription and billing management.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: Your data is stored on servers with appropriate security measures.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.

5. Cookies and Session Storage

• Authentication cookies: We use secure session cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies are protected and not accessible to third-party scripts.
• Session tokens: Stored securely for the duration of your session and cleared when you log out or close your browser.
• No tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active
• Analysis history: retained for your account lifetime, deletable on request
• API request logs: up to 30 days
• Billing records: as required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically 7 years)
• After account deletion: most personal data is purged within 30 days

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR for EU residents and CCPA for California residents), you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you via your account settings, or by contacting us directly.
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data via your account settings. Billing records required by law are exempt.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt-out of marketing: We send minimal transactional emails only. You may unsubscribe via any email link.

8. Security

• Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing
• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections
• Authentication tokens are signed and validated on every request
• Rate limiting is applied to authentication and sensitive endpoints
• Standard security headers are applied on all responses

Despite our security measures, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us personal data, contact us at legal@tradecide.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
